B’nai Israel offers many opportunities for our congregants to participate in our worship services. Please sing in our choir or chant Torah during our Saturday Minyan or other holidays when Torah is read. If you have an interest in participating please contact Cantor Blum.
Our Junior Choir
Fifty children, grades 4-6, belong to the Junior Choir, which is directed by Cantor Blum. They delight the congregation with their singing at Friday evening Shabbat services, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim and Passover. They culminate each year with an all-day trip to Broadway.

Our Adult Choir
Our Adult Volunteer Choir: A group of highly dedicated volunteer singers make up the Adult Choir at B’nai Israel. Singing from their hearts, their spiritually uplifting voices beautify services at our Synagogue. Directed by Cantor Blum and conducted by Gary Rosoff, the choir is highly valued by the congregants who delight when they sing at service. They are part of the rich musical tradition of Congregation B’nai Israel which has continued from the synagogue’s inception in 1858. They sing at the High Holy Days, Shabbat Shirah, The Sabbath of Song and other special programs. If you enjoy singing, please call Cantor Blum and join the Adult Choir!
