Honoring Rabbi Prosnit:  Please Save These Dates

As you all know, Rabbi Prosnit is retiring from Congregation B’nai Israel in June 2019. We are planning to send him off in style with many occasions to honor him, celebrate and learn together. Below is an list of the many scheduled events providing opportunities for everyone to participate. Please note them in your calendars and plan to join us!

March 13-26, 2019

Rabbi Prosnit leads congregational trip to Israel. 60 congregants and members of our community join with Rabbi Prosnit and Wendy Bloch. This trip is sold out.

Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, 2019

Shabbat with our associate rabbis – Rabbi Fred Greene and Rabbi Rachel Gurevitz (Shabbat services, dinner/breakfast, learning and discussion).

Friday, May 3, 2019 | 9:00 a.m.

In the morning, Bonim Grandparents Day. Bonim celebrates grandparents and special guest Grandpa/Rabbi Jim.

Friday, May 3, 2019 | 6:00 p.m.

Rabbi Lawrence Hoffman, a favorite teacher of Rabbis Prosnit and Schultz and one of the foremost thinkers and teachers in Jewish life today, will attend Shabbat services at 6 p.m. and will speak at a dinner afterward.

Sunday in the Park with Jim. The temple goes to Citifield to root for one of his favorite teams.
