Whether you join us for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in the sanctuary, the tent, or at the beach, I hope you feel that you are part of the wonderful community that is B’nai Israel.
While we come together for the High Holy Days, I want to remind you that we create community at temple every day of the year. We do so with Shabbat and holiday services, preschool, religious school, and our educational offerings. We celebrate together as a congregation for life cycle events – from brit milah through b’nai mitzvah, confirmations, weddings, and we support one another at times of sadness, at funerals and shivas. We share our values with our neighbors here and beyond when we take action through our work of Tikkun Olam.
Together we build sacred community: your support sustains B’nai Israel because it is our Jewish home, and we know the importance of having a vital and vibrant Reform Jewish institution in the Greater Bridgeport area. Our collective annual contributions do not fund all the work that we do, or cover all of the expenses that we incur each year. Therefore, I ask that you help by giving generously to our High Holy Day’s appeal. Many of you already go above and beyond, and I am very grateful for your support. All donations matter, whatever amount, so I ask that you consider even a small additional contribution. Of course, for those of you fortunate enough to be able, please consider giving at a higher level than in the past.
Thank you all for being part of our wonderful temple community and for all that you do to sustain us.
