Shabbat Dinner with MyHeritage Guest Speaker

Join us on Friday, May 11, for a Shabbat dinner following our 6:00 service. After dinner there will be a presentation and discussion of our DNA Testing Program. We’ll have a guest speaker here direct from MyHeritage’s Or Yehuda headquarters in Israel. He’ll be talking with us specifically about Jewish heritage and the unique challenges of tracing our DNA. For those that participated in the DNA testing you’ll be invited to share your results (if you so desire) with the congregation. Our guest will also lead us in some fun and interesting activities. One activity will be a B’nai Israel cousins matching. MyHeritage has been analyzing the results from all participants in our group to identify close and distant relatives among us. You may find that your friends are actually your cousins! All congregants are welcome and encouraged to join us for the dinner ($20 for those that didn’t do the DNA testing) and after dinner activities. Additional DNA test kits will be available for purchase that evening. RSVP to Lynn by Friday, May 4, to let us know if you’ll be attending the dinner.
