September Mitzvah Morning

For our first Mitzvah morning of the 2018-2019 calendar year, we will be headed to B’nai Israel’s Cemetery at 117 Kings Highway East. Over the past several decades, some of the headstones at the cemetery have endured nature’s various elements. Rabbi Prosnit is delighted to hear that we have made it our mission to clean, preserve, and restore them. In addition, it will be a nice opportunity to work with others in the Temple community and it is always a fun and rewarding morning. We’ll meet directly at the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. where we will have bagels and coffee on hand for those there to help out. Children are encouraged to join us too!  We’re asking for volunteers to bring their own supplies such as stiff bristle brushes of all sizes, toothbrushes, comet cleanser, towels, and buckets.  In addition, if you own a power washer it would be helpful to have a few on hand as well.  Please contact Nina Silberman ninahv@aol.com and/or Danielle Forma formadanielle@gmail.com with questions or click here to register.
