Rosh Chodesh

December 19, 2019 - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Tonight we celebrate the upcoming arrival of the Hebrew month of Tevet. At this darkest time of year, just before we kindle the Chanukah lights, we’ll gather together to think about the “destructions” in our own lives, and the ways in which we can “rededicate” ourselves towards greater measures of holiness, light, purpose and peace. We’ll learn about Shifrah and Puah, the Hebrew midwives who are known for their exceptional perseverance amidst chaos and destruction, and we will create our own vessels of light, which we will gift to one another as symbols of light and love during these cold winter months.

Please note our 7:15 p.m. start time this month, to accommodate a busy evening of programming at B’nai Israel that night!

Whether you are a Rosh Chodesh “veteran,” or haven’t yet been to a gathering, all women from B’nai Israel are welcome to join. Please feel free to reach out to Rabbi Marion with any questions.
