October 21, 2018 - 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for our October Mitzvah morning at B’nai Israel. We will be collecting donations of backpacks and supplies through the month of September and October for the families served by Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI). CIRI is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides legal, economic and educational services in order to assist refugees and immigrants resolve legal, economic, linguistic and social barriers so that they become self-sufficient, integrated and contributing members of the community. We will have collection boxes in the synagogue lobbies and here is the Amazon link from which you can directly purchase the needed supplies. On October 21, at the temple, we will assemble the packages and welcome a speaker from CIRI who will tell us more about the mission of the organization and the services they offer. Hope to see you then. For questions, please contact Nina Silberman at firstname.lastname@example.org or Danielle Forma at email@example.com.
