November Mitzvah Morning – Thanksgiving Food Drive

NOVEMBER MITZVAH MORNING – THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

Please join your fellow congregants at the the synagogue on Sunday, November 19th, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. for bagels & coffee followed by assembling Thanksgiving food packages for the clients of the Norma Pfriem Urban Outreach Initiative (NPOUI) food pantry. It’s a wonderful way to help those in our community who are less fortunate. Whether or not you can make it on the 19th, please consider donating food items or purchasing gift cards to Stop & Shop or Price Rite. A collection box will be in the coat closet at the synagogue for food donations and gift card donations can be left in the synagogue office. The food items we need are: Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Yams, Canned Vegetables (green beans, corn, carrots, etc.), Turkey Gravy, Canned Fruit and boxed Macaroni and Cheese. Stop & Shop gift cards can be purchased through the Rotary Club, which also supports social action with the proceeds, by contacting George Markley, gcmarkley@aol.com. Gift cards will be donated to NPOUI and St. John’s Family Services for their clients use and to purchase Turkeys.
