November 11, 2018 - 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Please join us for the November Mitzvah morning on Veteran’s Day, Sunday November 11. For the fourth year, we will be preparing and serving breakfast at Homes for the Brave (https://www.homesforthebrave.org/). HFTB is an organization that provides essential services to homeless veterans including: housing, vocational and life-skills training. Given we will be there on Veteran’s Day, it should be a particularly meaningful experience spending time with the residents and listening to their stories. This has always been a wonderful mitzvah event for adults and kids.
We will meet at B’nai at 9:30 for coffee and bagels and then head down Park Avenue to their facility at 655 Park Avenue, Bridgeport where there is a private parking lot. Volunteers are limited to 15 (due to kitchen size) so please sign up today through the link below on a first come served basis. Also, please consider donating or bringing supplies from the HFTB wish list which can be found at https://www.homesforthebrave.org/support-us/donations-wish-list/. Feel free to email Susan Roth with any questions at email@example.com or Nina Silberman at firstname.lastname@example.org or Danielle Forma at email@example.com.
