Homes for the Brave
655 Park Avenue
Please join us for the March Mitzvah Morning on Sunday, March 18th. For the third year, we will be serving breakfast at Homes for the Brave. HFTB is a wonderful organization that provides housing, vocational and life-skills training to homeless vets. We will also be extending the invitation to the female vets at their sister organization, the Nicholas A. Madaras House. They so appreciate our coming to make a hot meal, but even more so, they appreciate us getting to know them and hearing their stories. This is a great mitzvah for families and kids.
We’ll meet at B’nai Israel at 9:30 for coffee and bagels, then head down Park Avenue to their facility at 655 Park Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06605, which has a private parking lot. For those of you who need to pick up little ones from religious school at noon, we’ll certainly be done in time. Volunteers are limited to 15 (due to kitchen size), so please sign here (first come served basis). Also, please consider donating or bringing supplies from the HFTB wish list. Feel free to email Susan Roth with any questions, at email@example.com
