March 2, 2020 - 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
In the Natt Family Library
Join with Rabbi Marion and Bari Dworken, Educator, Chaplain and Spiritual Director (and member of our B’nai Israel community) for a conversation around the complexities of supporting our loved ones through illness. Inspired by the book How to Be a Friend to a Friend Who’s Sick by Letty Cottin Pogrebin, we will explore what Jewish tradition has to say on this topic, and we will discuss practical ways to best comfort, help, and even simply talk to a friend who is sick. No need to read the book in advance – just bring your questions and an open mind, and we will provide some excerpts from the book to explore together.
